This workshop has been designed to provide limited resource with an opportunity to learn about how to maximize the economic potential of farming systems from government, private industry and academic experts; the tools to use available market information to determine market conditions and price trends; exposure to alternative crops and livestock that allow limited resource farmers an opportunity to compete in niche markets; a familiarity with the process involved in, and the benefits to, being selected to serve on agricultural Boards and committees; and informational and training materials that will enable attendees to share what they have learned with other limited resource farmers in their area.
